Join us for this +30km EPIC run from the Alexandra to SOWETO.
When: 29 July 2017
Meeting point: Maponya Mall Virgin Active at 05:45 for 06:00.
Run starts at: Alex Mall at 07:00
Cost: R100 (for transport and refreshments)
Description: Maponya Mall management have demarcated parking for us close to the mall entrance. Runners with Maponya Mall Virgin Active membership or national members can park at the gym parking. We all meet at the demarcated parking at least 30 minutes before we leave. Exactly at 06:00 we take a bus to Alex Mall, where we would start running back to Maponya Mall before 07:30. We warm up and stretch at Alex Mall parking in front of Entrance 1 next to KFC. Alex Mall gate next to the Taxi rank opens at 4am. Please wear something reflective or bright colors (eg. Lime/ Green), something that would be clearly visible to motorist.
This will STRICTLY be an easy LSD run 4'30"/km to +8'00"/km. Pace bands will be (4'30"/km to 5'30"/km), (5'30"/km to 6'30"/km), (6'30"/km to 7'30"/km) and 7'30"/km to the last runner.

Note: (We advise that all runners park at the Maponya Mall Virgin Active. Parking cars at the finish line, makes it easy for runners to have immediate access to their cars after the run in case they need to rush somewhere or need supplement's from their cars. )
